Rcp is for the rmt who is working as respiratory therapist while rt is for the graduates of bachelor in respiratory therapy.

Yes I agree. The funny thing is that I know of a few fully credentialed RTs that preferred to be labeled as RCP because they see the term RT as being old fashioned and outdated!?

Are you an RT or an RCP?

“That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet” From Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, 1594So we get it, what matters is what something is, not what it is called. But let’s talk about names for the fun of it. Are we RTs (Respiratory Therapists) OR are we RCPs (Respiratory Care Practitioners)??? Which is more politically correct?
