Hi Chris,

I checked into it for you.
There was an reciprocity agreement previously between the NBRC and CBRC/CSRT that meant you only had to write the clinical case study exam when you already had the RRT designation from one of those organizations.
However, this reciprocity agreement has expired.

So what it is now is that you would have to probably write both of the papers.

I am sure you can do it - as you just wrote the NBRC recently and along with your Neonatal specialty you should be pretty well prepared!

What you should do it contact the provincial regulatory body where you are planning on living/working.

Do you know what city/province you are going to be living in?

Each province controls its own RT profession.

For ex., in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia (where I live), Manitoba and Alberta there are regulatory RT Colleges that are legislated by law and have very strict rules for continuing education and eligibility.

So you need to check into where you are going!

Hope that helps!

My email is noel.pendergast@dal.ca if you want to email me at my office directly.

Let me know if you need any more info!

Good LUck!

Awesome!

I am actually on the CBRC board of directors so I should be able to get that info! I am new on the committee so I don't know everything yet!
So just to clarify - you do have your RRT status from the NBRC exam?

I will get back to you!
cheers,
Noel
