I have know idea about the visa issues. If I were you I'd contact the hospital you want to work at and see if they would sponsor you to work for them. I would not expect to get a teaching job till after you've practiced in the US for a couple years, but a BSRT would be enough to teach. When it comes to NBRC questions I would contact them directly.

Dear Chris,

I did my 4 years Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy from one of the Indian Medical University and later on I did my Advance Level-Associate Science in Respiratory Therapy through the Distance Education mode from California College for Health Sciences (CCHS), Independence University (IU), USA. CCHS,IU and our University located in India has MOU to offer ASRT degree to the Indian BSRT students to gain the legibility to appear NBRC Licensing exams (CRT&RRT).

Recently I completed my CRT and RRT licensing exams from NBRC, USA at Goamp exam center located in India.

Recently I got H4 Dependent visa to US along with my wife. I am planning to leave to US by December 2009.

I have 7-8 years of teaching (Assistant Professor-Level), clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy at Indian Medical Universities.

Please answer to my quires if you know answer:

1. Is NBRC will accept the only teaching experience instead of Clinical experience letter from the Physician to renew my RRT credits ???

2. Is my Indian based Respiratory Therapy teaching and Clinical Experience will be accepted to get some job in US??

3. Do wee need to evaluate our International teaching and Clinical Experience with the World Educational Services (WES)??? like our International Transcript evaluation????

4. Is it easy to convert H4 visa to H1 visa????

5.If any one among you aware of any "Health Care Recruiting Agencies in US" and who can hire RTs with RRT please give me some information.

6. Do I need to masters in MPH/MBA-Health Care in US in case I aimed to get admission in to the college??? or shall I re do one year of RT college study to get BSRT degree from US based college???

I am looking for the help from the all US Based Experienced RTs and the RTs who come across similar problems like me.

Please help me if you know the solutions to my questions.
Thanks
