I was the first RT in Pakistan with a formal degree in respiratory therapy. Shaukat khanum cancer hospital is the first hospital there to have RTs services. we started with two people, then up to 5. once i graduated from US program we started a post graduate diploma in RT and had three successful groups completed. we did our best to get affiliation with local universities, but due to political reason it was rejected.
this time the Hospital administration will once again negotiate with the university of health sciences for affiliation.
