Seeking for an oppotunity to become an RT in Canada

Hey guys,

I am a graduate of Respiratory Therapy in the Philippines and have worked in the hospital for almost 4 yrs and in Saudi Arabia for 3 1/2 yrs (Feb 2006 to July 2009). I am currently employed here in Canada as a caregiver. I want to pursue my career (RT) here in Canada after I get my permanent residency. I just want to inquire what are the steps i need to take to work again in a hospital. What credentialing institution will best assess my papers? Thank you very much in advance!

oh thank you very much...ill try to find him here in rt space. God bless
You need to contact the CSRT to see if you are eligible to sit the Board exam in Canada
I already contacted them and they gave some things to accomplish like undergoing Prior Learning Assessment program and become a CSRT member. Hopefully I'll be able to get it without hassles and will give u the good news. Thank you very much! I need to contact the Thomson Rivers University for the Prior Learning Assessment program. God Bless us all!
Will you have to go the canada for the Learning Assessment Program ? Please keep me informed of your progress
I am here in Vancouver right now and Thompson Rivers University is a 5 hour drive from here. I need to undergo the Prior Learning Assessment program according to CSRT and become a member preceding RT profession. Thank you very much!
