Hello Minette as in Critical Care Therapist, there will be special considerations, there is no fix baisc salary but its all depend on qualifications and experience, so that would be based on documents review and the interview.
i guess you work in Albabtin center, by the way we have Nouf and Kholood working with us as well as kinneth i think you guys knew each other previously.
hi, may I ask which hospital is these?
This is SAAD SPECILAIST HOSPITAL, you can visit the website:
www.saadmedical.com.sa
located in Alkhobar-Estren Province of Saudi Arabia.
As a therapist from the philippines you would be doing mainly floor therapy. Rarely will a therapist from the philippines will be allowed to work in the critical areas. Beware when they tell you you will work critical care. Therapist from the kingdom of saud, united states, great britian and canada mainly work in the critical areas because of their credentialing process.
in england no such RRT's there are ICU TECH who's usually a biomedical tech, that troubleshoots ventilators, but initiating mechanical ventilation and adjusments are done by either physicians or nurses, there are few british RT's that has either study in the US or done the online programs, and i guess it was only CRT programs.
on the other hand some filipinos has proven that they are competent in Critical Care and some has even gone further and acquire thier degree online and became RRT.
Personaly i have 10 filipino's in the critical care areas performing very well and very competent with everything that is required by critical care therapist, and i have been in recruitment trips more than 7 times and never give none critical therapist an offer to work in the icu if they are not fit, and i believe none of my collegues even have done such a thing.
Ofcourse i dont forget anyone that i have shared work with alfonso, i do remember you very well and eveybody there jojo, vette, you and ariel.
you keep up the good work and take care.
Thanks for the warning. On the personal side, I assure everyone here that Hijab is not one of "those" recruiters. He makes it clear to you where you are working, responsibilities, working conditions, salary, etc. And he saved me from troubles A LOT of times (good times, good times). I say this because I am one of those he hired before and I am more than grateful that I worked with him, he's the coolest out there (you gotta give me a bigger salary when I get back there Hijab LOL).
Im not saying this happens all the time but ive heard a lot of stories out there and have spoken to some who have went to the kingdom to work and I almost did cant hang with restrictions. I Respect them I was over there during the first gulf war just not how I roll. I decided to become an RT after I got out of the service. Im just saying research everything before going to another country with different religions and cultures
sir are you still recruiting filipino RT's? thanks
Hi! I'm from Manila and an RT graduate. I'm glad you're coming over for recruitment and I am interested for this opportunity. Could I possible know in advance which country are you based? And as a heads up, may I ask my chances of getting hired given my present situation. I obtained my BSRT degree in 1995 and had a brief practice in a local hospital for 6 months before I ventured into another field. I just took up Nursing and have passed the local Board Examination and I am set for an RT refresher course at Lung Center of the Philippines this coming month. This is an effort to revive my RT career. I also happen to have Masters Degree though in an entirely different discipline. I hope you could give me some advance info so I could bring my chances up of landing in a job overseas. Thank you so much.
I am new to website, saw your post late, RRT F with 16 yrs experience in all areas, excellent references, avail 9/1/2010
