Hello you all.

I have a question.

On ventilators such as the Drager Evita XL f you have the option of the mode, APRV.

I know usually APRV is used with Inverse I/E Ratios, but, has anyone ever seen High Frequency APRv where the Thigh, and Tlow are set to like .10 seconds to create a high frequency of like 312 or so?

I was fooling with my online Drager ventilator simulator, and realized I could set the pressures the Phigh, and Plow high enough to get really good mean Irway pressures.

do you think this might be a good ventilator Lung Rest Strategy when an oscillator is not available?

THANK YOU, AND GOD BLESS.

we use it, gives good results, is an excellent alternative although there isn't clear consensus regarding the Setup and requires more careful adjustment of sedation and minute volume control.

Best Regards
