The First Social Network for Respiratory Care
Good morning everyone,
I have been working as a RRT in Canada for over 5 years. I have experience in ICU, NICU and ER. It has been my dream, since I was a child, to spend the rest of my life in Florida. When I chose RT, I was led to believe that it was possible for me, one day, to work in the US. Only recently have I learnt that visas were not given out to RTs.
This has been very frustrating for me... to the point where I have started a program in nursing for the sole purpose of being able to move to Florida one day. Can you imagine how badly I must want it.
I am about to start my second year into the Nsg program and I am already very discouraged with it. I am writing this here hoping that someone out there might be able to help me.... Does anyone know of any programs or hospitals that offer sponsorship to Canadian RRTs who wish to work in the US ?
Thank you very much for your time.
