A lot of people have trouble with the CRT because it's not testing your critical thinking skills like the RRT. CRT is basic memorization and regurgitation.
If you haven't used the Kettering study guides yet do it! They have the best prep of all programs. They also do seminars. They give you a book with everything you'll need to know for the CRT. Just study the book, memorize it and you'll be set. Don't be scared if you don't do too well on the practice exams that they give you. They are muuuuch harder than the actual exam. You will also get a set of practice SIMS for the RRT.
Kettering essential teaches you how to take the exam. All the tricks to passing. Go to the seminar if at all possible.

Worth every penny!
My university made it mandatory to take Kettering and everyone from my class has passed the CRT, and most have taken and passed the RRT.
